Make your own Vestibule for Eureka Backcountry Tent

Several months ago I did an "unboxing" video for my new Eureka Backcountry Tent. Now, four months later, I still love the tent. It is light-weight, easy to set-up, self-standing, and roomy. My only criticism is that it doesn't have a vestibule, that is a porch to store my backpack, boots, stove, etc. -- particularly important in rainy-weather backpacking. This video shows how I made an add-on vestibule by cutting a 6' by 4 by 4' by 1' section from my ground-cloth tarp. I attached the vestibule to the tent-frame with rope. Velcro fasteners connected the tarp to the rainfly. My goal was to create an add-on vestibule that * was lightweight, * provided full-weather protection, * provided space for extra gear, and * used no extra stakes / guy-lines.
